So another month is upon us. It is a beautiful sunny day outside today. Gord and Erin are taking a ride on our neighbour Ron's snow machine right now - can you just hear the screams of delight coming from Erin, who really likes fast things (yikes! she gets that from Gord!!).
Another week is behind us and all in all it was a good one. Erin had a couple of days of school this week, one of which included a read-a-thon which meant she attended school in her pajamas! Friday was Leap Day at daycare - to celebrate the leap year. Work was it's usual busy time, but a good week.
Yesterday I think I discovered my new most dreaded phrase coming out of Erin - imagine being in the grocery line up, the cashier ringing through your items, when about half-way through, your precious little girl says: "Mummy, I can't hold my poop in!!" And so began a day of Erin with the stomach flu. At least it was only coming out one end.... Poor little bug, was she whipped. I must have bathed her five times yesterday afternoon. To top things off, our dryer bit the dust.... imagine.... no dryer and a 4-year old with the flu. Gord the darling that he is went into Brockvill and bought me a new one that evening. Erin crashed at about 6:30pm and slept until 7:30am this morning. Guess she needed to sleep the bug off. She has bounced back to her wild self today though, so I am happy about that!!
This will be our last full week before heading to Dominican. It will be a busy one, being a 3-day school week! Then we will do some packing and get ready to head out on the 12th! Yeah!!!!! I can't wait to be warm again!! I also can't wait to not cook, not clean, not go to work, and so on!!!
North Bay Grampa made it back from Florida early this morning. I guess he had a good time, but something tells me he will miss the warmer weather of Clearwater before long!!
Enjoy Erin's new favourite pastime.... snowmobiling!!!
