We finished digging out of a big week of nasty weather! We got a big dumping of snow on Wednesday, along with some freezing rain - we all stayed at home that day, despite Erin really wanting to go to school! Thursday was an altogether different day... I picked Erin up from daycare a little later than normal and her teacher told me she was complaining about her tummy being a bit upset. She complained about it on the way home, so I opened the window a bit to get her some fresh air. She wanted to lay down when she got in and I decided to get a bowl for her, just in case. Well, no sooner did I bring her a bowl that the vomiting start. It went on and on, pretty much all night. She finally stopped outright at about 4:30am early Friday morning. We decided to keep her home from school, just to be on the safe side and Gord and I split the day. She was in pretty good humour all day, and wanted me to take her to school around 1:00pm!! I think she will miss her buddies at school. Now with March break, our holidays, and Easter, she won't be back until March 26th!!
Just when it looked like the fun was all over, Gord came home Friday night not feeling well. He was pretty much down for the count all weekend. Thank goodness I got our early Saturday to get to the dump before the nasty storm really set in. Our neighbour Ron came by late Saturday afternoon and plowed us out - thank goodness!!! I shovelled the steps, etc. just to get by. Of course when we woke up Sunday morning it didn't look like anything was plowed or shovelled, but just imagine how much there would have been if we didn't get plowed!!! Man did we ever get a lot of snow!!! Check out the pics!!
Anyway, only two more days of work, then we are outta here! So far, the weather looks clear on Wednesday morning - as long as everything is nice and clear at 9:00am and we can take off, we'll be happy!!
The odds of me checking in before we go are slim at best, but I'll get the DR pics posted when we are back!!

No swimming for a while!!!!
