Hmm, it appears that September has quickly crept up on us. September greeted us with some wonderful weather though. It's nice to finally have some summer heat! We had a fun rest of August. We had Patricia and Malcolm over for a day - check out Patricia and Malcolm on the slide! We had a visit from Aunt Allison, Douglas and Alex for an afternoon of fun in the pool! We celebrated as Emily turned 17 (OMG! Is that possible????), then we wished William best of luck as he headed off to college (OMG! Is THAT possible????) August also saw Aunt Patricia and Bill move into their new home. That was lots of fun, as Erin helped Aunt Patricia and Aunt Elaine put stuff away! Goodness she loves to help!! We had a couple of sleepovers from Aunt Elaine that weekend of the move too, and had lots of fun then too!
Then September arrived, and with that the start of a new school year. Erin is now in Senior Kindergarten and is just as proud as proud can be!! It was a very different start to the school year this year, most notably for me! Erin was so excited to see her school buddies again and to help welcome some of her new friends entering Junior Kindergarten into her class. I'm surprised I managed a kiss goodbye from her the first day as she was busy chatting up the kids! We couldn't be more proud! This year I was the consoling mum! Very different from the 15 minute balling episode I had when I dropped Erin off to JK last year!!!
Monday September 8th brings a special day for Erin - her 5th Birthday!!! Sunday we are having a family birthday party - here's hoping the rain holds off! We will have a quiet little celebration of our own on Monday evening, and the big event of all the kids invading is next Saturday! I'm especially hoping the rain holds off that day!
Friday of this week Erin will be in another horse show at the Spencerville Fair. We are going with Emma and Erika, so that day should be loads of fun!!!
I'll be sure to post lots of birthday pictures from Sunday!

Back to School!!!!!
